In an effort to ensure COVID-19 preparedness, the Town of Harbour Main-Chapel’s Cove-Lakeview is following and supporting the public health advisories in every effort to prevent the spread of the virus.

Social Distancing

The council cannot stress the importance of all residents to practice social distancing.

This means no social or public events.

Please stay home, unless it is absolutely necessary.

We are a town of just over 1100 people and 25% of our residents are over the age of 64.

Please follow the guidelines set by the NL & LAB Chief Medical Officer.

Our senior citizens and vulnerable residents are depending on all of us to help protect them.

Office Hours

The Town Office is now open. However, with the COVID pandemic remaining a concern, residents are encouraged to contact the office by phone for assistance, at 229-6822 or by email at Town Staff are available from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to respond to inquiries. Payment of Property Taxes

Residents can pay their property taxes via the following:

Payment by Credit Card (via telephone or in person), Personal Cheques, Bank Drafts or Money Orders can be done in person or via our drop box at the Town Office.

A new drop box has been installed near the main door for the convenience of those who do not wish to come into the office or for after hours delivery.

Online Banking through Bank of Montreal, Scotiabank, Toronto Dominion or Royal Bank of Canada. Search "Harbour Main, ChapelCove Lakeview Tax" when registering your bill. Enter your Name or Phone Number for the account number.

Senior Citizen’s Property Tax Reduction

Senior Citizen’s Property Tax Reduction - Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS)

Residents who receive the GIS can submit a copy of the Town's Application Form and a copy of proof of their entitlement letter supporting the approval of the Guaranteed Income Supplement to the town office for a discount on their property taxes.
